Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ginger minced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup green onions chopped
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the beef and optional red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, coating them in the beef and sauce mixture.
- Top with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and serve.
